Andreas Pereira played 75 games for Manchester United but when he often speaks about his time at the club he sounds frustrated that things didn’t go the way he wanted.

He scored only four times in all competitions for the Red Devils and after multiple loan deals, was sold to Fulham in 2022.

Pereira is thriving at the London club but still sounds a little frustrated regarding those earlier years, although there’s no effort to send blame to anyone.

The 28-year-old has now spoken to Premier League Brasil about him time in Manchester, saying: "At United, I wasn’t a regular starter who played every game. So I think that was what was missing there for me to really feel 100% comfortable."

The Brazilian also revealed some advice from ex-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær that really helped his career.

"There were also coaches (who helped me), Solskjær, when he arrived, told me that I had to be more intense, that there was no way for a traditional 10 to play without defending, just standing there waiting for the ball to arrive.

"It was difficult, so I started to realise and change."

The Norwegian’s advice has paid off for Pereira, who is now more of a dynamic player on and off the ball.

He has one goal in 11 Premier League games in this campaign, but contributed to ten goals in the 2023/24 season, which was his highest in a single league campaign.
