Son Heung-min 'to quit Tottenham Hotspur'

Son Heung-min will leave Tottenham when his contract with the club expires at the end of this season, Tony Cascarino has predicted.
The South Korea international has been a stalwart for Spurs ever since he moved to north London from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015.
He has scored 169 goals in 429 appearances in all competitions for the club but sees his current deal expire at the end of this season.
Cascarino has now suggested that rather than a new contract being signed, that will mean the summer could bring an end to Son’s time with Tottenham.
Speaking about the 32-year-old’s future on talkSPORT, the former Chelsea and Aston Villa striker said: “I don’t think Son will stay at Spurs.
“I think it’s one of them that you’ve got to make a big call on as well. He’s been brilliant for them over the years but there’s time to move on in football sometimes.”
Son Heung-min exit would be sad to see for Tottenham
Football Insider Opinion
It will be a full ten years since Son Heung-min joined Spurs once we come to the end of this current season.
In that time, his quality and commitment to the club have made him an unquestionable Tottenham legend.
All good things though must come to an end, and with his contract expiring at the end of this season, this could be an opportunity for that to happen.
It will be difficult for Spurs to bid farewell to Son after so long at the club where he has done so much for them, but he will also be 33-years-old before the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
Both the player and Tottenham may therefore see this as a time to move on to pastures new, in what could be one of a number of big decisions the club are forced to make over the next few months.
Even if that does happen, the club will still maintain a South Korean connection with Yang Min-hyuk on his way to link up with the club from next month.
In other news, Tottenham fans were not happy with one player after their defeat to Nottingham Forest.
