TBR Football understand that Chelsea and Newcastle United are among the clubs watching Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki who is making quite a name for himself in Serie A.

Suzuki is seen as one of the most talented young goalkeepers in Europe right now and has been impressing in the Italian top flight this season.

The 22-year-old joined Parma in the summer from Belgian Pro League club Sint-Truidense VV in a deal worth £6 million.

The Japanese international now has several Premier League clubs chasing his signature having previously turned down a move to England back in 2023.

Premier League clubs watching Zion Suzuki

Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United have all been closely monitoring Zion Suzukiover recent months, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

Suzuki has been watched by a host of Europe’s top clubs but the interest from the Premier League is particularly strong.

Earlier this month, TBR Football first reported that Man City had an interest in Suzuki and now they have been joined by Chelsea and Newcastle

Man United attempted to land the shot-stopper back in the summer of 2023, however, he rejected them in favour of a move to Belgium.

Suzukiwanted to be playing regular football and did believe that would happen at Old Trafford, who instead decided to move for recent FA Cup hero Altay Bayindir.

Despite having been previously rejected by the US-born star, United retain an active interest in him and continue to scout him.

Why Man City, Newcastle and Chelsea all need new goalkeepers

Man City might soon be in a position where they need a new goalkeeper with Ederson falling out of favour and Stefan Ortega producing some questionable performances.

Newcastle look set to lose Martin Dubravka and given Nick Pope’s injury concerns, Eddie Howe may look to bring in a new number one.

Finally, Chelsea will be looking for a new goalkeeper in the summer with big question marks as to whether Robert Sanchez is good enough.
