Sources: Giants willing to pay £20m for Liverpool star this month

Real Madrid are willing to pay £20million to fast-track Trent Alexander-Arnold signing from Liverpool this month, sources have told Football Insider.
Real Madrid's interest in Alexander-Arnold became concrete on Tuesday with their first move for the player and it is believed they would pay a fee of £20m for him this month to get him to Spain early.
However, the Reds flat-out rejected Real Madrid's approach for the England international.
The Merseyside giants are privately adamant the right-back will not be sold this month ahead of his contract expiring in June.
Talks over an extension have yet to result in an agreement amid a growing sense the 26-year-old will join the Spanish giants this summer.
Alexander-Arnold will be available on a free transfer after this season if he doesn't agree a new deal with the Premier League giants, which could allow him to make the switch to the La Liga side.
Liverpool are still working to retain Trent Alexander-Arnold
The right-back has remained a key part of Liverpool's squad under Arne Slot, having played 23 times in all competitions this season.
Alexander-Arnold has scored once and provided five assists for the Reds as the Merseyside giants have been back to their best as they sit top of the Premier League and Champions League table.
Alexander-Arnold isn't the only headache that Liverpool are dealing with right now as Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah's contracts are set to expire next summer too.
