TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Kobbie Mainoo finds himself in a stalemate over a new contract beyond 2027 at Manchester United.

Mainoo was in line for a pay rise upon signing a brand-new contract, with TBR Football also told in September that Manchester United had planned to wrap up the deal by the end of last year.
Chelsea told about Kobbie Mainoo’s uncertain contract situation at Man United
TBR Football’s chief correspondentGraeme Bailey has been informed that while talks have been ongoing between Manchester United and Kobbie Mainoo over a contract extension, they have reached a stalemate.
Mainoo, likened to Jude Bellingham had a breakout tournament at Euro 2024 and yet, his contract situation is yet to be finalised, which has upset his representatives. Alan Shearer hailed Mainoo as he stood out for Manchester United last season, despite them finishing in eighth place.
TBR Football understands that intermediaries have now contacted Chelsea among other clubs to notify them about the youngster’s situation at Old Trafford.
Are Manchester United ready to sell Kobbie Mainoo now?
Gareth Southgate has lauded Mainoo as well, who has become one of his boyhood club’s main men since breaking through into the first-team under Erik ten Hag last season.
TBR Football have been notified that Manchester United have no intention to sell the 19-year-old.
So much so that the Red Devils cannot envision their long-term future in the teenage sensation’s absence.
TBR Football understands that Manchester United are confident that they will eventually tie Mainoo down to a new contract, who they view as one of Europe’s best young midfielders.
