TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Arsenal have been joined by Manchester City and other Premier League giants in the race for Sverre Nypan.
Sverre Nypan is one of Europe’s most exciting young players, having made waves since coming through the ranks at Rosenborg.
Arsenal have risen back towards the top of the Premier League in recent years and, as a result, are now a very appealing destination for players.
However, Manchester City have already snapped up a number of top talents this months and they may not be done just yet.
At the same time, there are many other clubs – in England and Europe – who also want to get their hands on Nypan.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Nypan is due in Manchester for talks with Man City and is set to attend their game against Chelsea.
Bailey reiterated that Nypan has held talks with Arsenal, who are confident of winning the race for him.
However, sources close to the 18-year-old midfielder insist no decision has been made.
That includes the fact he has not rejected a move to Manchester United as of now, who are long-term suitors.
TBR Football sources also confirm that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion have shown an interest in Nypan this month.
Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Ajax are amongst a number of foreign clubs also keen on the Norwegian prodigy.
Rosenborg have told Nypan that he can pick his new club and he has been weighing up his options over the past six weeks – they want a deal worth at least £10milllion.
What Nypan could bring to the Premier League
At just 18 years of age, Nypan has already made 60 competitive appearances for Rosenborg, registering an impressive 13 goals and 11 assists.
Nypan is technically gifted, highly intelligent player whose abilities to pass and carry the ball, as well as creating chances and scoring goals, are already at a very high level.
Nypan’s talent and potential has seen him earn comparisons with fellow Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard, who joined Real Madrid as a teenager and is now Arsenal’s captain.
"Sverre Nypan is extremely exciting, and I get a bit of the same feeling as when I saw Martin Odegaard break through as a boy," Norwegian football expert Jesper Mathisen told TV2 in August 2023.
