TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Manchester City are edging closer towards finalising terms with Eintracht Frankfurt over a deal involving Omar Marmoush.
TBR Football previously revealed that Manchester City have made progress in signing Marmoush — who has been one of Europe’s most in-form forwards this season.
As uncovered by TBR Football, Manchester City discovered Marmoush’s price tag was £50 million — a fee Eintracht Frankfurt had set and privately doubted any of the Egyptian’s suitors would be willing to pay.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side are huge admirers of the 25-year-old, with Manchester City viewing Marmoush as Julian Alvarez’s replacement — as they sit in sixth place in the Premier League.

Man City closing in on completing Omar Marmoush deal
Graeme Bailey — TBR Football‘s chief correspondent have been told that City and Eintracht Frankfurt are finalising the add-ons related to the deal involving Omar Marmoush.
There is a possibility that the English juggernaut may have to forego an extra £10 million in add-ons and bonuses for the Cairo-born finisher — based on his performances and the club’s as a whole during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
TBR Football have been informed that Manchester City aim to conclude a deal for Marmoush by the weekend after having agreed personal terms with him. As a result, the Sky Blues would not like Marmoush to feature against Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
City have been hit by a barrage of injuries this season and a potential knock to the versatile forward would further dampen their hopes of securing top four — with tough tests awaiting them against Ipswich Town, Chelsea and Arsenal in their next three league games.
TBR Football reported on Monday that Manchester City targeted concluding a deal Marmoush as well as Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis by Wednesday.
Manchester City have agreed to sign Khusanov for £33 million while Guardiola’s side have struck a deal for Reis worth £29 million as well.
Marmoush, who Ian Wright dreams Arsenal sign is set to be City’s most pricey signing this month at an initial £50 million fee.
During Eintracht Frankfurt’s latest 4-1 victory against SC Freiburg, Marmoush was a man possessed again.

After Ritsu Doan opened the scoring for the visitors, the Manchester City-bound attacker helped Franfurt equalise with a pinpoint corner that Robin Koch headed into the back of the net.
In the second half, Marmoush fired the hosts into the lead with a volleyed finish.
After Hugo Eketike got his name on the scoresheet, so did Nmandi Collins with a brilliant solo goal that was also assisted by Eintracht Frankfurt’s main man.
Marmoush’s statistics showcased that he was in terrific touch once again.

Marmoush, who Paul Merson demanded Arsenal to sign was devastating, scoring once, assisting twice, creating four chances and taking eight touches into the opposition box.
On the other hand, Manchester City, who did create plenty of chances in their 2-2 draw against Brentford needed another forward who was as clinical as Marmoush, who has 20 goals and 13 assists this season.
Mohamed Salah suggested Liverpool to sign Marmoush and his outstanding displays this campaign explain why City are keen on his signature.
Fans and pundits alike will be intrigued to see whether the Frankfurt’s number seven can take the Premier League by storm as he is in the form of his life.
