Club América could look to bring West Ham United midfielder Guido Rodríguez back to the club as he falls out of favour at the London Stadium.

That's according to Nacion Futbol, who report that the West Ham man could be set for a return to his former club in the coming months.

Rodríguez joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer after leaving Real Betis in the summer transfer window as they boosted then manager Julen Lopetegui's squad.

He spent the season as a regular under the Spaniard but has fell out of favour since the arrival of Graham Potter with just appearances in the Premier League since the beginning of the year.

He managed just 46 minutes in February and hasn't been seen since, spending the last five league games out of the squad and not being used.

All indications are that he is not in Potter's or West Ham's plans moving forwards, and he's been linked with a move away, with reports in Spain stating that he could return to Betis. Indeed, they are believed to be working on a deal for him.

Now Nacion Futbol throw another former club, América, into the mix. They explain that the midfielder's relationship with the Mexican side ended 'extremely well', and he even posed with their shirt a few years ago.

He also spent his time in Spain sending regular greetings to the club and that could lead to their board moving for him in the summer.

The belief is that the window will be open for them as he'll be leaving West Ham and, at 30-years-old, may now be facing the final stages of his career.

It would be a dream transfer at this moment in time, but the opportunity may be there, and that great relationship could facilitate matters.
