Stefan Borson: Arsenal well placed financially to 'buy a player'

Arsenal could face an issue making new signings in the January transfer window due to the quality of players available.
That is the view of finance expert Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider clubs in the Champions League are unlikely to sell their stars because there are still two games left to be played in the league phase of the competition this month.
Arsenal were dealt a crushing blow when it was revealed Bukayo Saka will miss the next few months with a hamstring injury.
Football Insider revealed on 30 December Emirates chiefs have decided to explore a move for another forward player after the winger underwent surgery.
Mikel Arteta spent more than £90million in the summer window on the permanent additions of Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino and David Raya, while Neto and Raheem Sterling joined on loan.
Arsenal are in strong position to make new signings
Borson expects there to be limited business concluded in January despite several Premier League clubs wanting to add to their squads.
"Arsenal are in a very good financial position," Borson told Football Insider.
"If they need to buy a player, they can buy a player. I think the biggest issue is the same as all of the clubs who are looking to buy in January. That is finding clubs that are actually keen enough to sell in January.
"It will probably be ones that are not in the Champions League and ones that have got a level of distress themselves. The French clubs have certainly got some financial issues.
"But you are looking really for a club that's not involved in the Champions League because those clubs are still active in the Champions League up until the end of January.
"I think what you might find is clubs that really want the money will try and do deals at the end of the window to try and see where the market is around the deadline.
"But I would still expect very limited business in the January window even though there are lots of teams who would want to buy from the Premier League.
"I just think it's going to be very hard to find those players to buy."
