Liverpool are yet to agree new contracts with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold as their star players could be set for a summer exit.

The trio are all out of contract on 30 June and can leave Anfield on a free transfer once their deals expire.

Football Insider revealed on 23 March Salah and Van Dijk's deals are being held up by the length of contract on offer.

Salah, 32, and Van Dijk, 33, remain key players in Arne Slot's plans but are demanding longer contracts than the club are prepared to offer.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football InsiderAlexander-Arnold, 22, has signed a contract with Real Madrid after being heavily linked with the Spanish giants over the past few months.

Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider it would be "astonishing" if Liverpool were to lose all three players this summer.

The Merseysiders look set to win the Premier League title this season after building up a 12-point lead at the top of the table.

Liverpool stars could be heading for exits as momentum builds

Borson insisted the momentum could be building for all three players to leave Liverpool the longer the situation goes on without agreeing new contracts.

He told Football Insider: "I suspect they will sign at least one of them, but I just don’t really understand why you would let it run on.

"I did see this situation with City and Ilkay Gundogan before he went to Barcelona.

"Sometimes the clubs just leave it too late and momentum on the other side in terms of exiting gets going, so they start having conversations and deals are made with their agents from other clubs.

"Then they start to picture themselves in that new place with that new contract and get themselves more comfortable with what might come when they leave the club.

"I think they’re running a big risk if they do want to keep the players, but they’ve obviously thought it through and are relaxed either way.

"Otherwise, they’d have made sure that there’s no possibility of these players leaving.

"But can you imagine a scenario in terms of building a team for next season if you were to lose all three of those players in one go?

"That to me would be an astonishing decision."

Liverpool delay Diogo Jota contract talks

Football Insider revealed on 20 March Liverpool are delaying Diogo Jota's contract talks after he's largely failed to impress this season.

The Portugal international's current deal expires in 2027, but there is a growing feeling he could be allowed to leave Anfield this summer rather than agree a new deal.
