Tottenham face Arsenal in the north London derby this weekend in a game that is going to be marred by injuries.

Indeed, while this is usually one of the fixtures of the season between two quality sides, this time around, both teams are struggling with injury issues.

Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard are out of action with injury, while Yves Bissouma has an ongoing injury issue at Tottenham.

Dominic Solanke has also been out injured as of late, but according to Tom Barclay, speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, Solanke is on his way back.

Indeed, the journalist says that Solanke has been back running this week, and he's expected to be fit for this game.

Dominic Solanke likely to be fit for Arsenal game

Barclay shared what he knows about Solanke.

"Let's talk about the attacking options. Richarlison looks like he's going to be out. Dominic Solanke, I am led to believe he's been back running this week, and that correlates with Ange's original comments when he was injured," Barclay said.

"It's quite likely he will be fit for this game. First of all, that's huge because against Newcastle they seemed to really lack that presence up front."

Dominic Solanke will be raring to go

Tottenham fans should be very excited about the fact Solanke will be fit to face Arsenal this weekend,

The striker has had a stop-start beginning to his Tottenham career, but this weekend is a huge chance for the attacker to kick-on.

There would be no better way for Solanke to endear himself to his new fans than bagging a crucial goal against Arsenal, and he could do just that this weekend.

Solanke has a lot to prove at Tottenham after arriving as a club-record signing this summer, but he'll go a long way towards paying back that transfer fee if he manages to make a difference in the north London derby this weekend.
