Liverpool have made a fantastic start to the Premier League campaign with three wins from three games without conceding.

The international break will no doubt have worried Arne Slot about potential injuries, as one knock to a key player could prove fatal.

Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister was feeling some pain due to muscle load last week whilst away with Argentine, but he’s appeared in one matche since.

Now, with Colombia up next for the Argentines later on tonight, it appears as if Mac Allister will play a part as Lionel Scaloni has stated that he’s training at the moment.

There are a number of other players away on international duty, including Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Jarell Quansah and Cody Gakpo, as well as others.

But, it’s one of the club’s youngsters who has attracted some praise from a Manchester City player…

James McAtee impressed by England Under-21s teammate Tyler Morton on international duty

Tyler Morton has made leaps and bounds over the past year after his loan move to Hull City.

Steve McManaman was really impressed with Morton six months ago and has high hopes for him moving forward at Liverpool.

It appears as if he’s not the only one who loves what the 21-year-old does on a football pitch as England Under-21s teammate James McAtee took to Morton‘s Instagram post.

He posted various pictures of him playing in games against the Northern Ireland Under-21s and the Austria Under-21s, to which Manchester City’s James McAtee replied saying ‘The best’.

What is Morton’s current situation at Liverpool?

Liverpool blocked several moves for the midfielder in the summer transfer window, as Slot wants to keep Morton at the club.

One club that came in for Morton was Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.

The Englishman is yet to feature for Liverpool this season but there will be plenty of opportunities on the horizon as the Reds have cup competitions and the Champions League to worry about.

Interestingly, Liverpool’s failure to sign Martin Zubimendi will work in his favour, as it leaves Morton a chunk of minutes to receive, with Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Alexis Mac Allister as the only other recognised central midfielders.
