Marcus Rashford's future remains one of the key talking points in the January transfer window.

Rashford is ready to leave United and is looking for a new challenge.

AC Milan want Marcus Rashford, but Rashford has been discussed as an Arsenal target in recent times.

Tottenham have a historical interest in Rashford, but it is Arsenal who have been discussed most as a potential destination for the attacker.

Speaking on KS1 TV, Steve Kay has been discussing Rashford's future, and he's shared what would have to happen for Arsenal to even consider going for Rashford at this point.

What would have to happen for Arsenal to make Rashford move

Kay shared what he knows about Arsenal and Rashford.

The journalist pointed out that Arsenal can't loan Rashford due to the fact Neto and Raheem Sterling are already in their squad.

United are open to loaning Rashford out, but Arsenal can't get involved in that race.

However, Kay says that if the price drops to a ridiculous degree – to around £20/25m, Arsenal could look at this one.

"We can't sign him, we can't sign him on loan can we because we already have two Premier League players on loan, Sterling and Neto," Kay said.

"I've seen stuff this week about Rashford, and I'm saying this week about Rashford and Arsenal, and the only way that Arsenal really would get him is if United did a cut-price ridiculous deal for £20m or £25m."

How Arsenal feel about signing Marcus Rashford

Kay says that Arsenal could move for Rashford at a certain price-point. However, this deal would be complicated.

According to information from TBR Football's chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, Arsenal don't intend to sign Rashford this month.

Rashford would have to be made Arsenal's highest-paid player if he were to arrive at the Emirates, and the attacker doesn't have any intention of taking a wage cut.

Rashford wants to leave United to find a new challenge, and, at the moment, AC Milan are keen.

As for Arsenal, the Gunners have been linked with a number of new attacking options.

Arsenal scouted Takefusa Kubo recently ahead of a potential move, while Rafael Leao has been linked to Arsenal too.

If Arsenal want to close the gap on Liverpool they may need more attacking firepower, and this could be a situation to keep an eye on in the January transfer window.
