Speaking to Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher has been reviewing Arsenal's season so far, and he reckons that the Gunners are short in one particular area.
Indeed, Carragher believes that Arsenal are lacking another top-class attacking option, claiming that the north London club need to upgrade on Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
Jamie Carragher says Arsenal need to upgrade their attack
Carragher spoke about Arsenal's attack and where they need to upgrade.
The pundit thinks Arsenal need to sign another top attacker either as a centre-forward or down the left wing.
"I've always felt when I speak about Arsenal, I've never backed them to win the title, and the reason being I always felt they were an attacker short. I don't necessarily think it's a striker. On that left side they need an upgrade, whether that's Martinelli or Trossard and Havertz up front. You think of those three players in two positions they need something more than that, whether that's through the middle or wide left," Carragher said.
Which attackers could Arsenal sign?
Carragher says that Arsenal need another elite attacker, and that is something the Gunners have been looking into.
Indeed, Arsenal are in the market for a new forward, and they have been linked with some very exciting names.
Alexander Isak is an Arsenal target, and Darren Bent thinks Isak would be perfect for Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also interested in Rafael Leao, while Nico Williams is on Arsenal's radar too.
These are the sorts of signings that can propel a club to that next level, and after failing to score from open play in each of their last three league games, Arsenal need to make this a priority for the January transfer window.
Arsenal aren't planning to spend huge amounts in January, but that is a stance that may need to change if they want to catch Liverpool.
Arsenal's title hopes may well rest on whether or not they can sign an elite attacking player next month.
