Arsenal are in a bit of a sticky patch at the moment.
In the space of a week, Arsenal have lost to both Newcastle and Manchester United, leaving their hopes of silverware this season in tatters.
Arsenal were frustrating against United at the weekend.
However, despite his team's poor performances as of late, Mikel Arteta has continued to back his team.

Indeed, Arteta has claimed that he's incredibly proud of his players, hailing this Arsenal side as an incredible team.

Chris Sutton disagrees with Mikel Arteta's Arsenal comments
Sutton reacted after what Arteta had to say about his team.
Indeed, the pundit says that this Arsenal side isn't an incredible team, noting that they haven't tasted success in the way the two Manchester clubs have in the past.
"That is an incredible team. I’m so proud of my players, I love my players, and I cannot be prouder, because it’s very difficult to demand something else than the performance that they put in there. The ball has to go in the net, and then you have to batter the opponent, that’s the reality, and you are out," Arteta said.
"That was Mikel Arteta the Arsenal manager," The host said.
"They’re not an incredible team. Arsenal aren’t an incredible team. Manchester City have been an incredible team. Manchester United have been an incredible team, you know, when they went on their tremendous runs. This Arsenal team isn’t incredible," Sutton said.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal compared to Alex Ferguson's Manchester United
Sutton says that this Arsenal team isn't an incredible side, and that is slightly unfair.
Yes, they haven't won major trophies at the rate a team like City has or how United did back in the day.
However, in terms of point tallies, Arteta's Arsenal are up there with the best teams Alex Ferguson ever put together.
Alex Ferguson’s best Manchester United season | Arsenal last season | |
Games | 38 | 38 |
Wins | 28 | 38 |
Draws | 7 | 5 |
Losses | 3 | 5 |
Points | 91 | 89 |
Goals | 97 | 91 |
Goals conceded | 45 | 29 |
Goal difference | 52 | 62 |
Position | 1st | 2nd |
Only twice in almost 20 seasons did Alex Ferguson's United eclipse Arsenal's 89-point tally from last season, make no mistake about it, this Arsenal side could go toe-to-toe with the greats.
Yes, Fergie's United managed to win the league 13 times, and Arteta is still waiting for his first, but in terms of pure results, this Arsenal side are up there with some of the best teams Ferguson ever put together at United.
Sutton may not agree, and they may not have the trophies to show for it, but this Arsenal team are indeed incredible.
Gary Neville still thinks Arsenal can win the league, and they would shut a lot of their doubters up if they managed to win the title this term.
