Thiago Silva has sent a message to Chelsea fans after he made a return to the football club this past week, showcasing how much the Blues mean to himand what it meant to be back.
The 40-year-old played and captained the Premier League giants from 2020 to 2024 until he departed the club this past summer as he returned to Fluminense.
Silva made 113 appearances during his time at Chelsea, winning the Champions League, Super Cup, and the Club World Cup during his tenure.
The Brazil international recently made a trip back to London as he attended Chelsea's 2-1 victory against Brentford on Sunday (15 December) at Stamford Bridge.
He also turned up at Cobham to see his former teammates at training as he said, "Great to be back with the boys! Always good to see my Chelsea family."
The iconic defender also shared another message on his Instagram story as he called the club, "home."

The former Chelsea defender has remained connected to the club ever since leaving, regularly commenting on the club's social media account or interacting with former players.
Silva's return has evidently provided a positive impact on the squad, showcasing how fondly he is thought of around the club.
Enzo Maresca’s side currently sit second in the Premier League table, just two points behind Liverpool.
The Blues are also top of the Europa Conference League table and will be competing in that competition during their next outing as they face Shamrock Rovers on Thursday (19 December).
