On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur delivered by far one of the most disappointing displays in Ange Postecoglou’s tenure at the club.

Spurs headed to Brighton & Hove Albion and began brightly, leading 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from Brennan Johnson and James Maddison.

However, Tottenham capitulated in the second half of the Premier League clash as they went on to lose 3-2 to the Seagulls.

Yankuba Minteh struck back on 48 minutes, Georginio Rutter equalised in the 58th minute, and Danny Welbeck got the winner on 66 minutes.

Tottenham had seemingly turned a corner after their North London derby lodd, but now they must once again do a lot of soul-searching during an international break.

Plenty of pundits have been having their say in wake of Spurs’ implosion, including former Premier League goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

The Dane, speaking on Optus Sport, criticised Ange Postecoglou’s game management and labelled one of Tottenham’s defenders a “shambles” in the second half.

Thomas Sorensen slates Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie

Along with slating Postecoglou, Sorensen also criticised Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven for how they did in the second half.

"I would love to have seen what has gone on in the dressing room,” said Sorensen.

“Because you saw certain players – Udogie I thought was absolutely a shambles in that second half, [Micky] van de Ven as well – just lack concentration.

"They’re not doing the job properly and that was from the first minute of the second half and they lose the first [goal] after two or three minutes.

"What did Ange say? It falls at his feet because as a manager, that’s your job, to fire your squad up at half time, but ultimately as a professional, you know, it eventually falls at your own feet too.

“There were certain players that didn’t do that and were not concentrating, just basic mistakes. And one mistake leads to several and the momentum swings and that’s how it went.

“I just worry about that you can just lose concentration and discipline and be that overconfident. But maybe that’s because that’s the attitude that he relates to the players. Maybe.”

The rating out of 10 Alasdair Gold gave Udogie in Tottenham loss at Brighton

Udogie has been a revelation for Tottenham and, at just 21 years of age, he’s a big hope for the club’s future too.

However, things just didn’t go to plan for the £75,000-a-week defender in the second half, with Alasdair Gold giving him a 3 out of 10 for his display.

‘Back after missing the midweek match and he played well in the first half only to make a mess off trying to clear a cross and presenting the ball to Minteh to score,’ he wrote on football.london.

‘Put in a weak challenge on Rutter before he scored Brighton’s second and was poor again with the same player for the third, getting himself nutmegged and beaten.

‘A poor day at the office from the young Italian.’
