Arsenal face Liverpool this weekend in what is a must-win game for both teams in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners head into this game off the back of their first defeat of the season, while Liverpool are flying high after a win against Chelsea.

Arsenal's discipline has been questioned as of late after a string of red cards, and that means that William Saliba will be absent from this match, while Riccardo Calafiori picked up an injury in midweek.

Meanwhile. Liverpool are playing some brilliant stuff, and Curtis Jones seems to be hitting his best form right now.

Arsenal and Liverpool are two evenly-matched sides, and it's very difficult to predict which way this one will go.

Speaking on Stick to Football, Gary Neville has put his neck on the line and predicted the result of this game.

Gary Neville predicts Arsenal win against Liverpool

Neville gave a bold prediction and he tipped an Arsenal win here.

The Gunners head into this game without some of their most important players, but Neville still believes the north London club have enough to get the job done against Arne Slot's side.

"I don't want a 0-0. I can't watch a 0-0 on Sunday. I hate 0-0. 1-1 or 2-2 is alright, but I hate 0-0," Neville said.

"I think 1-1 is a good shout to be honest with you, but we'll go Arsenal 2-1."

Arsenal's record against Liverpool

Arsenal come into this game with a depleted squad due to injuries and suspensions, but their recent record against Liverpool suggests that they could get a result here.

Indeed, Liverpool have won just one of their last five games against Arsenal in all competitions with their last league win coming all the way back in March 2022.

Since then, Arsenal have taken points off of Liverpool in each of their four league meetings, including a 3-1 win last time out at the Emirates.

This is going to be a tightly-contested affair, and it's easy to understand why Jamie O'Hara has predicted a draw between Arsenal and Liverpool.

Arne Slot passed his first major test of the season against Chelsea last week with flying colours, and if he can mastermind a win against Mikel Arteta's side, his Liverpool team will have to be taken seriously as title contenders going forwards.

This should be one of the games of the weekend, and Neville's fear of a 0-0 draw may not have to be something he worries about.
