Manchester United are willing to wait for Ruben Amorim and leave him in charge of Sporting Club de Portugal until the next international break.

That's according to Record, who say Manchester United are willing to accept Sporting's demands to get the deal done for the Portuguese coach.

A report earlier today that stated Sporting had made it clear they were unwilling to accept Amorim departing immediately, despite Manchester United wanting him in charge for Sunday's clash with Chelsea.

While negotiations between the two sides were progressing and United were willing to pay his and his staff's release clauses, Sporting wanted to hold onto their coach until the next international break.

Record now report that Manchester United have accepted this condition and a deal is close to being completed.

This is backed up by Foot Mercato, who say there is a 'total agreement' for the Sporting coach and two of his deputies Carlos Fernandes and Adélio Cândido. They do not, however, say the deal will be delayed until next month.

If Manchester United have agreed to those conditions, though, it means Amorim will not arrive at Old Trafford until at least 12 October when the next international break begins.

Record had previously stated Sporting wanted him in charge until 10 October, covering their next three games, including a meeting with Manchester City in the Champions League, and it seems Manchester United have granted that wish.
