Marcus Rashford has been linked with a shock move to Tottenham Hotspur on loan.

Tottenham could afford Rashford’s signing provided Manchester United shoulder some of the financial burden of his weekly wages.

Tottenham’s interest in Rashford has been a longstanding one and it seems like there is a possibility that Ange Postecoglou could get his hands on him.

TBR Football revealed Manchester United could loan Rashford out as the Red Devils are aware that no club will make a move to sign him on a permanent basis this month.

However, Tottenham supporters are split down the middle about whether they should really sign the United winger.

Tottenham fans disagree over Marcus Rashford loan signing

On one hand, some Spurs fans have expressed that they would like to see a deal sealed for Rashford.

One Tottenham fan reacted to the rumours by simply writing on X: “Would love a revitalised Rashford.”

Another Spurs fan agreed, adding: “I'll be honest, I'd quite like Rashford at the Lane.”

Alan Shearer hailed Rashford as “unbelievable” and a Tottenham supporter has chimed in by claiming that he could very well be galvanised under Ange Postecoglou.

“Not going to lie, Rashford can cook in big Ange’s Tottenham. A confident Rashford is a top, top player.”

A Tottenham fan also admitted: ‘I’ll forgive everything [Daniel] Levy has ever done if he gets this done. Imagine!”

Amad Diallo raved about Rashford being the best player he has ever played with, which goes to show the quality he continues to have.

However, some Spurs fans are far from keen about the prospect of the 27-year-old being added to their roster.

A Tottenham supporter claimed Rashford does not fit into their side at all.

“Knew that link to Rashford was coming — such an easy nonsense rumour to put out. Where does he fit in this side? He's only good in the left-wing slot where we already have Son, Moore, Odobert and Werner. Especially at the price/wages involved, it's a total no-go for me.”

Another Tottenham supporter added: “We should avoid him he doesn’t press and has lost his pace.”

A Tottenham fan stated Rashford is no longer the player he once was, takes home exorbitant wages and has a questionable attitude as well.

“The thing is there once was an exciting player there? I'm not shocked by this but I'm 50/50 on it if he was to come. It's an awful signing. An out of form forward who doesn't press, has a bad attitude and may be washed on massive wages. It's a lazy signing that would divert money needed to improve the side.”

While an eighth Spurs supporter provided three reasons why Johan Lange should steer clear of sanctioning a loan move for Tottenham, explaining: “A) He’s not very good B) Why are we scrounging for loans and expecting the parent club to pay the wages? C) Why don’t we have any money?”

Ange Postecoglou said Tottenham had “no interest” in Marcus Rashford

Ange Postecoglou’s verdict on Rashford being linked to Tottenham was that they had no interest in signing him and the rumours were merely paper talk, despite admitting he is a “very good player.”

Last month, the Spurs boss said: “There's always noise about Manchester United, come on mate. Where have you been?”

“No interest. Don't care. Not interested. He is a Manchester United player. A very good player, they have plenty of good players, but I manage my players and other managers will manage their own players.”

Ange Postecoglou added: “In terms of Marcus' situation, I have no real desire to examine it any further.

"If I looked at everyone we were linked to, I would have no time to do anything else to be honest. I have got other people to do that part of the process.”

"For us, we've been pretty disciplined in what we're trying to build here and we'll continue to be so.

"That's not on my radar. You can ask me about Marcus but you can ask me about every single Premier League footballer and I'll say the same."

Whether Tottenham step up their interest in Rashford, prompting Ange Postecoglou to change his tune remains to be seen.
