Transfer Guru urges Marcus Rashford to reject West Ham offer

West Ham are unlikely to complete a deal to sign Marcus Rashford from Man United this month despite growing interest in the move.
Mick Brown, who worked as a senior scout at the London Stadium and also served as Man United’s chief scout, and remains very well-connected at both clubs, exclusively told Football Insider that the Hammers have been looking at a potential loan move.
Rashford, 27, is widely expected to leave United before the window closes on 3 February, and the likes of AC Milan, Napoli and PSG have all been heavily linked with a move.
Brown previously told Football Insider that Rashford is more likely to move abroad rather than stay in England when he leaves Old Trafford.
Now, the former scout has explained that he cannot see a move to West Ham happening as it would not be in the forward’s best interests.
Brown insisted a move away from the Premier League would be the best move for Rashford to focus on his performances and step away from the spotlight.
Joining West Ham would mean the spotlight of fans and media in England would stay fixed on him and cause the same issues he has faced at United.
Marcus Rashford backed to turn down love move to West Ham
West Ham are said to be keen on the move and could make formal contact before the transfer window closes as they look to add to their attacking options.
Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has advised Rashford to turn down the Hammers’ advances in favour of a move to a club like PSG.
“West Ham have been looking at the possibility of a loan,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s not playing at United and they want to get him out, so a short-term deal might make sense.
“But I would say to Marcus Rashford, you’d be stepping out of the frying pan and into the fire, that’s not a move which is going to help with the issues he’s facing.
“I think he’s got to get out of the spotlight of Premier League football, go to PSG or somewhere like that, because otherwise that pressure is still going to be there.
“If he goes to West Ham, that focus will be just as much on him as it would be at Man United.
“That pressure comes from the fans and the media focus on his performances.
“So yes, I’m sure West Ham are interested and it might appeal to them, but I can’t see it happening because I don’t think it’s the best move for Marcus.”
