Tottenham won 3-0 against Qarabag on Thursday evening, but the match wasn't as one-sided as the scoreline may suggest.

Indeed, while Spurs ran out 3-0 winners, the Azerbaijani outfit gave the north London club a decent run for their money.

Tottenham were reduced to 10 men early in the game, and that allowed Qarabag to create a number of important chances.

However, Spurs still managed to keep a clean sheet, and that was largely down to the performance of their goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario who made a string of brilliant saves.

Speaking after the game, Dejan Kulusevski has been discussing the £17m man, and he's been full of praise for the goalkeeper, claiming that he was unbelievable during the game.

Guglielmo Vicario was unbelievable

Kulusevski spoke highly of the Italian.

"Vicario and some of the saves he made were sensational," The interviewer said.

"Vicario in goal is unbelievable, a good leader, a great guy. He works hard, it's a pleasure to play with him," Kulusevski said.

Guglielmo Vicario needed this performance

Goalkeeping is all about confidence, and Vicario needed a performance like this to restore some belief.

Vicario has been in the headlines for the wrong reasons recently.

His lack of command from set-pieces has been a consistent talking point since he joined Tottenham, while he committed a serious gaffe against Brentford last week as he handled the ball outside of the box.

The spotlight has been on Vicario, and many have questioned the goalkeeper's ability.

However, this performance against Qarabag was a timely reminder of how good Vicario can be when he's playing his best football, and we can only hope that the goalie can kick on from here and get back to his best.

Vicario has had a difficult start to this season, but this performance in Europe may be the catalyst to help him get back on track.
