'Unbelievable': Pundit decides who has had a better season - Liverpool's Alisson Becker or Arsenal's David Raya

David Raya and Alisson Becker have delivered assured displays between the sticks for Arsenal and Liverpool respectively this season and are among the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
The two clubs are separated by just a point in the league standings as the Reds find themselves at the top of the table under new manager Arne Slot.
Mikel Arteta’s side, on the other hand, have faced a tough run of fixtures but have come out of that run unbeaten, which is a good outcome at this stage of the season.
Alisson and Raya will be central to Liverpool and Arsenal’s hopes, but Darren Bent believes the Arsenal goalkeeper has been more impressive so far this season.

Raya has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season and has made a series of outstanding saves.
Bent feels Raya has had a better season than Alisson so far because he’s faced more shots and had to make more saves.
"In goal, I was torn between Alisson and David Raya, but I have gone with David Raya,” said Bent on talkSPORT.
“Do you know why? Because although his clean sheets are up there, David Raya had standout saves.

“I know Liverpool fans will probably remind me of the saves that Alisson has made, but watching Arsenal, he has made some unbelievable saves. So I am going to go David Raya in goal."

Since joining the club from Brentford last season, the Spanish shot-stopper has gradually grown in stature and has cemented his status as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

Arsenal kept 18 clean sheets and conceded just 29 goals last season as they boasted the best defense in the country.
Raya played a big role in the club finishing second last season and has begun the 2024-25 season in fantastic form.
If Arsenal are to win the league this season, they’ll hope for the Spaniard’s rich vein of form to continue in the coming months as they aim to get their hands on the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
