Liverpool continued their great start to the season on Wednesday evening as they beat Bologna in the Champions League.

The Reds ran out 2-0 winners to continue their strong start to the Arne Slot era, and, once again, one of the Merseyside club's best players was Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutchman brought a serious level of poise and control to the Liverpool midfield once again on Wednesday, and he earned his due praise.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Clinton Morrison was full of praise for Gravenberch, claiming that he was unbelievable on the night and Liverpool's best player.

Ryan Gravenberch was unreal vs Bologna

Morrison spoke highly of Gravenberch, praising his performance and form.

“Gravenberch is unbelievable. The way he’s playing at the moment is ridiculous," Morrison said.

Later in the game Morrison would heap more praise on the Dutchman, saying:

“Gravenberch has been the best player on the pitch again for Liverpool. He’s been outstanding.”

Ryan Gravenberch has improved so much

Ryan Gravenberch looks like a totally different player this season, and the midfielder has improved massively.

Indeed, Gravenberch is playing with so much more confidence than he was last season, but don't just take our word for it.

Dominik Szoboszlai has said similar recently.

"Yeah, a lot. Last year he didn't have so much chance to show himself but I think if he gets the trust from the coach, this is actually Ryan," Szoboszlai said.

'He is really important for us and also in the midfield he knows that sometimes he is the player who has to stay more back, but also sometimes if he goes then he knows we [will] stay. So, we understand each other and that's helped us a lot."

Gravenberch is quickly becoming a top player who is establishing himself as one of the most important players in this Liverpool team.

Don't be surprised if Gravenberch ends up being one of the defining players of the Arne Slot era at Liverpool.
