Tottenham Hotspur take on their north London rivals Arsenal on the weekend in the first instalment of the bitter rivalry.

Both sides could well be coming into the game on Sunday with some injury issues despite being just three games deep in their seasons.

Arsenal have now seen Martin Odegaard pick up what appeared to be a significant injury during the recent international break.

Whilst the Gunners will also be without Declan Rice for the short trip to N17 through his red card suspension.

However, Tottenham have also been suffering in the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign with injuries of their own.

There is one player who former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott feels could go under the radar as the signing of the summer.

Theo Walcott admits Tottenham have pulled off great summer signing

Over the summer, Spurs were able to sign five players but two of those were Timo Werner on loan and Yang Min-hyeok who will not arrive until January.

But there have been three additions made which Postecoglou will be looking to make an impact over the course of the season.

Spurs fans have not been able to see much of Dominic Solanke just yet with the striker having suffered an injury in the opening game of the season.

According to Walcott, the £65m striker is the signing of the summer which could go under the radar across the Premier League.

“I like Solanke. I do really like Solanke. I think he did exceptionally well for Bournemouth and I think now, if you’re putting him in a Tottenham team who, again, no disrespect to Bournemouth, he’s going to be around better players, he’s going to be playing the likes of Maddison behind him as well,” Walcott told Now TV.

“But, the amount of goals he scored [last season], I was a disappointed for him that he didn’t get into the England team.

“But again, now he’s gone to Tottenham a big, big stage for him. I think he’s probably going to be a one under the radar, Solanke, definitely.”

Tottenham will be hoping Dominic Solanke is fit to face Arsenal

Although Tottenham did not exactly miss Solanke in their 4-0 demolition of Everton in their only home game this season, they certainly did last time out.

In the defeat to Newcastle United, Spurs created more than enough good opportunities to win the game comfortably.

However, the Lilywhites were made to rue their missed opportunities as Newcastle took their chances to take all three points.

Had Solanke have been up top, it may have been a different story, but with Richarlison also struggling through injury, Spurs really need a striker back fit for the North London Derby.
