"Unless something really crazy happens" – Player would reject January move to Brighton, remains keen on summer exit

Brighton were very keen on signing Olivier Boscagli in the summer transfer window.
The Seagulls reportedly made an offer for the player but it was rejected, as PSV Eindhoven were keen on keeping the defender for another campaign.
The 26-year-old wasn’t happy that he wasn’t allowed to join Brighton and with the transfer window set to reopne in the new year he has been asked about the possibility of a winter exit.
The French spoke to AD in the Netherlands and revealed that a move to Brighton or any other club in January isn’t possible.
“That’s not in the plan, unless something really crazy happens."
He was further asked about whether he would want to definitely leave PSV next summer and the centre-back confirmed his wishes about the exit.
“Yes, that is certainly possible because my contract is expiring. I want to be honest and clear. Something I really appreciate in our staff about Theo Lucius, for example. He just says what he thinks and then you don’t waste any time. Then there is no noise.
"There should not be a trace of doubt about my mindset now. Zero. No one can accuse me later that I have taken even one step less because I might leave. If there is any complaining, I have not done well."
Brighton would be encouraged by some of Boscagli’s comments and how keen he is on leaving in the summer.
He would be available to sign on a free transfer and talks can take place over a pre-contract agreement in January.
