"Very serious, a bit of a jerk" – Nottingham Forest star moves to clear up teammate's image, total opposite to appearance

Nottingham Forest star Murillo has insisted teammate Nikola Milenkovic is not like the person he appears to be thanks to his appearance.

The defender has been speaking to GE Globo today about various Nottingham Forest subjects, including his defensive partner, Milenkovic.

The pair have former an impressive partnership at the heart of Nottingham Forest's defence this season, forming the solid, central pairing that has been the basis for their success this season.

Milenkovic is proving to be one of the signings of the season, with the €12.3m paid to sign him appearing to be a complete bargain in the modern age of inflated transfer fees.

The 27-year-old has developed a growing reputation and is seen as something of an old-school throwback in comparison to the modern centre-back.

That image has been aided by his appearance, with the Serbian not often seen smiling and joking on the pitch, particularly in comparison to his more jovial Brazilian partner.

Murillo, though, insists what you seen is not what you get with the Nottingham Forest defender and wants to help change the image about him.

"On TV, he looks very serious, a bit of a jerk, who doesn’t take jokes. He's always serious…." he said.

"But in here it’s totally the opposite.  He loves reviews, he loves playing. You rarely see him frowning, fighting . He’s always laughing, joking.

"It’s funny to see this other side on TV, even more so because he’s a defender, with a straight face. Every day he is very funny."
