Arsenal's academy has been seriously fruitful for the Gunners in recent years.

The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe were sold for big profits after coming through Hale End, while Bukayo Saka remains a star at first-team level.

Ethan Nwaneri is on his way to becoming a star, while Myles Lewis-Skelly is also another exciting prospect.

Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing another young talent who is coming through at Arsenal.

Indeed, the Arsenal legend was discussing Jordan Pickford's rise to prominence alongside Sam Allardyce, and he says that 16-year-old Jack Porter at Arsenal appears to be following the same sort of trajectory.

Jack Porter is one to watch at Arsenal

Seaman named Porter as a player to watch at Arsenal.

This was during a discussion with Sam Allardyce about how Jordan Pickford progressed and impressed at a young age at Sunderland.

"I was at Sunderland when we were struggling, but the goalkeeper we had was struggling. We had this goalie on loan at Preston (Jordan Pickford), and Simon Grayson was manager then and I thought I had to bring him back in January, his distribution, his confidence, he stood out to me, how old was he? 20 I think," Allardyce said.

"There's a lad like that at Arsenal, Jack Porter, he played at Arsenal when he was 16 just, he played in the Carabao Cup, watch out for him," Seaman said.

What Mikel Arteta has said about Jack Porter

Porter has already made his Arsenal debut at the age of just 16, and he's already impressed his manager, Mikel Arteta.

Indeed, Arteta was full of praise for Porter after his debut against Bolton, claiming that he was great in training in the lead up to the game.

"He reacted really well, he was really composed yesterday in training and today as well. His teammates really helped him as well on that. What an experience and what a way to break a record," Arteta said.

At the age of just 16, Porter has so many years ahead of him to grow and improve, and he's already on the right track at Arsenal.

Porter is certainly a player to keep an eye on, and the scary thing is that even in 10 years' time, this young man may not have hit his peak.

The future continues to look bright at Arsenal as their academy stars continue to make a difference.
