'We lack': Ruben Amorim noticed two things which Man United were missing despite 1-0 win over Fulham

Manchester United edged past Fulham to secure a big three points but Ruben Amorim noticed two things his team were lacking at Craven Cottage.
Lisandro Martinez’s deflected effort proved to be the difference between the two teams as United made it nine games unbeaten away at Fulham.
The win lifted the Red Devils into 12th place, however, it is clear that a lot of work still needs to be done under Amorim.
After the match, the Portugese coach revealed that United are still lacking in two key areas of the pitch although addressing them both this month will be unlikely.
Ruben Amorim explains Manchester United’s deficiencies
Ruben Amorim claims that Manchester United are missing pace and power up front along with players who can create chances and carry the ball up the pitch.
When asked about United’s struggle to score goals, Amorim told TNT Sport: “I think so. Even in the second half we wanted to change something, we lack some pace and power up front. But it is what it is.
“We need to have ball creators, more chances and carry the ball up the pitch. We struggle a lot in these details. But winning helps a lot to improve.”
Man United are working to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce who could be the answer to replacing Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui who are struggling in the wing-back roles.
The new United boss also seems unsure who his best number nine is with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee both failing to cement their spots in the team.
Why Manchester United aren’t so active in January?
However, making changes in the final week of the January transfer window will be tricky for Man United who, according to Amorim, ‘have to be cautious’ given their recent mistakes.
The 40-year-old also revealed that United must be mindful of the rules, but there is a desire to add to the team and improve the squad.
Amorim added: “We have to be cautious. Even the rules here, we have to follow the rules. We did mistakes in the past, we can’t do it now.
“We are focused on improving the team, let’s see. Let’s focus on the players we have and focus on the next game.”
