It has been over two years since Arsenal signed Leandro Trossard.

The versatile attacker has proved to be an excellent addition to Mikel Arteta’s side. He is not the main man by any means, but he has more than justified the initial £20 million the Gunners paid for him.

Arsenal are the biggest club Trossard has ever played at. The only other team he has played for in Europe’s top-five leagues is Brighton and Hove Albion.

The move to the Emirates was definitely a big step up, and certain routines at Arsenal came as a surprise to Trossard. He has now had his say on one of them.

Leandro Trossard reveals what he found a bit ‘weird’ in Arsenal’s training under Mikel Arteta

Arteta is one of the most creative managers in the country.

The Amazon docuseries a few years ago showed the lengths the Arsenal boss goes through before the game to get his side ready to win.

From rubbing hands to create energy to turning on a light bulb to spark some creativity among his players, he did some strange things.

One thing Trossard found ‘weird’ was how Arteta plays music during training sessions ahead of a game. The Belgian has claimed that he had never experienced that at any club before.

He said, as relayed on HaytersTV: “I don’t really think it’s the players who pick. I’m not sure who is on the tunes when we’re doing the warm-up.

“You just kind of get used to it, I guess. At the start when I first joined it was a bit weird for me that we had this.

“But now, it’s just natural for us to have music playing when we are warming up.”

Trossard will reach a big Arsenal milestone vs Dinamo Zagreb

Arsenal take on Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Wednesday, and it will be a big night for Trossard.

If he plays, the game will be the Belgian’s 100th appearance for the Gunners since he joined them from Brighton just over two years ago.

40 direct goal contributions in 55 starts is not a bad record at all. Trossard has contributed brilliantly at Arsenal – be it from the start or off the bench.

He has been a fine player for the Gunners, but with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus out injured, he needs to step up even more in the coming games.

Since the start of the 2024/25 season, Trossard has five goals and five assists to his name in 31 appearances in all competitions. That needs to double in the second half of the campaign.
