According to a claim in the Turkish media, West Ham United have made an attempt to sign Galatasaray attacker Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The 24-year-old was linked with a move to the Hammers during the last transfer window following his impressive performance for Turkey at Euro 2024.
Hurriyet today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Yılmaz after reports again of interest from the Premier League. Earlier in the window there were claims Nottingham Forest were looking to sign the right winger this month.
The Turkish media outlet report West Ham have now come in with an offer for Yılmaz and that a bid of €30m has been tabled with Galatasaray. Hurriyet say the London club have offered €25m initially, with €5m in potential bonus payments.
However, Galatasaray have again rejected approaches for their player as they are not considering selling him during this transfer window.
Gala are fighting on three fronts for silverware and want to keep hold of their key player. Despite turning down West Ham's offer, it's reported they could sell Yılmaz in the summer.
Yılmaz is contracted to Cimbom until June 2027.
