There are wild claims in the Turkish media that Besiktas want to sign Nottingham Forest forward Chris Wood in this transfer window.
It's been well documented the Black Eagles want to sign a centre forward this month and are reportedly now looking to target Forest's top scorer.
Fotomac today report on Besiktas' interest for the New Zealand international and the Turkish media outlet say they see him as a potential target. The Istanbul side are keen to bring in a forward that can take the load off Ciro Immobile and could attempt an ambitious move for Wood.
It's claimed Besiktas have made initial steps in their pursuit for the Nottingham Forest man and that they plan to travel to England to hold transfer talks with the Premier League side.
However, this is very unlikely to happen given the importance Wood has has for Nottingham Forest this season. His goals have been a huge reason for the club's impressive form in this campaign and they currently stand third in the Premier League table.
Wood has made 19 appearances for the English side this season, scoring 11 goals.
