William Saliba has made a prediction about one of his Arsenal teammates.

Speaking to the Premier League on TikTok, the Frenchman was asked to predict which Arsenal player will get the most assists this season.

Bukayo Saka has started the season brilliantly on that front, picking up three assists in his first three games.

However, according to Saliba, Martin Odegaard will once again top the assists charts for Arsenal.

Odegaard got the most assists for Arsenal last season with 10, but the previous season, he finished up joint-third behind both Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard – albeit some of Trossard’s assists came for Brighton.

Saliba thinks that the Norwegian will be a serious creative force once again this season.

Martin Odegaard will get the most assists

Saliba shared his verdict on the £30m man and how many assists he will get this season..

"The player with the most assists with be Martin Odegaard. I think he will again have a lot of assists, so I will again put him first on the team," Saliba said.

Martin Odegaard has started slowly

By his brilliant standards, Martin Odegaard has started this season slowly, and he needs to pick up the pace if he's going to compete for the Playmaker Award this season.

Odegaard got into double figures in terms of assists for the first time for Arsenal last season.

Surprisingly, prior to that, his assist numbers for the Gunners weren't that brilliant.

During his initial loan spell with Arsenal, Odegaard grabbed just two assists, while in his first full season, he got four.

However, the year after that he grabbed seven and last season he got 10.

Year on year, Odegaard has improved his assist numbers, and if he can do that once again, he could make his way towards the top of the Premier League's assist charts.

Odegaard hasn't had the brightest of starts to this season, but he's likely to kick on after this first international break.
