William Saliba sets Arsenal target this season which only two other Premier League teams have ever achieved

It goes without saying that for Arsenal to be able to accomplish their dreams of winning major silverware this campaign, William Saliba will have to remain fit and firing.
Rio Ferdinand’s honest prediction about Saliba is that he will become “the best defender in the world” one day once Virgil van Dijk “gives up that post”, indicating how high his stock is nowadays.
Van Dijk is a fan of Saliba as well, admitting he was “nowhere near” as complete a centre-back as the latter when he was just 23 years old.
Last month, Gary Neville sang Saliba’s praises as well by naming him as the standout centre-back in world football.
Since returning from his loan spell at Marseille to Mikel Arteta’s side in 2022, the Bondy-born colossus has cemented his presence amongst the best of the best in his position.
After two seasons where Arsenal have managed to challenge for the Premier League trophy with Saliba at the heart of their defence, the man himself has lofty ambitions now.

William Saliba dreams Arsenal stay unbeaten at home all season
One of those include staying unbeaten at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions at the end of the 2024/2025 campaign, as Saliba told TNT Sports after Arsenal’s 3-0 win against AS Monaco.
The Frenchman initially said: “When we start the season, we want to win trophies and of course, we are unbeaten at home this season.
“We have to keep going like that and yeah, let’s continue like that.”
“I hope we will be unbeaten until the end of the season.”
Only two Premier League clubs have ever gone across a full season while remaining unbeaten: Chelsea and Manchester City.
The West London side did so during the 2004/2005, 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 seasons under Jose Mourinho.
Manchester City achieved the feat last season, despite losing to Real Madrid on penalties in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, with the result not considered a defeat as it occurred after the regulation time of 90 minutes.
What is Arsenal’s home record this season?
Saliba’s main focus will be on helping Arsenal getting over the line, especially in the Premier League or the Champions League.

The Gunners have a top-quality side coupled with one of the best managers in the world to be able to win a major trophy this campaign.
So far this season, Arsenal have played 11 games at home, winning nine and drawing two.
A long campaign awaits Arteta and Co, where they are still set to host teams such as Manchester City and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
Saliba will have to lead from the front to ensure his dream becomes a reality.
