Wolves were linked with RC Lens defender Kevin Danso towards the end of December. At the time, the Premier League club were said to be considering a swoop for the central defender, with Southampton and Villarreal also credited with interest.
After that, Wolves appeared to change target, or at least move for a different central defender more strongly. Danso wasn’t thought to be keen on a move to the club, and so they went for Emmanuel Agbadou and agreed a deal with Reims.
Now there’s claims from France that Wolves have returned for Danso, and faced a knock-back again.
On Monday evening, Foot Mercato report Wolves have made an offer worth €22m plus additional bonuses, with the amounts related to the latter category not revealed.
Foot Mercato report that according to what they’ve been told, Lens have rejected the offer from Wolves.
Reports in December stated Lens needed to sell, but there’s no indication at this point of what figure they’re looking for.
Danso himself is said to be aware of what’s going on in the market, although he isn’t presented as being overly keen to move.
