Yannick Bolasie, Adebayo Akinfenwa respond to Eberechi Eze's Crystal Palace post

Eberechi Eze took to social media to celebrate Crystal Palace’s superb FA Cup victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Eze, who impressed Thomas Tuchel with England, opened the scoring on 29 March, firing home after 34 minutes before supplying the assist for Ismaila Sarr just four minutes later.
With Marco Silva’s side attempting to push for a goal back, with a spot in the FA Cup semi-final on the line, Eddie Nketiah wrapped up the victory 15 minutes from time to sink the Cottagers’ hopes of silverware.
Oliver Glasner was seriously under pressure at Palace at the beginning of the campaign, but with the Eagles now taking an important step towards a final, fans are excited for the end-of-season run-in.

Taking to Instagram [29 March], Eze wrote: “For His glory,” dedicating his side’s FA Cup victory to his beliefs, gaining plenty of attention from some of the biggest stars.
While Declan Rice, Dominic Solanke and Anthony Gordon all liked the post, others showed further support, with Adebayo Akinfenwa writing: “I say it for the people in the back, ‘Too good’,” while Yannick Bolasie responded with a star emoji.

Football Insider verdict
With relegation certainly not a concern at Selhurst Park this season, and Palace unlikely to begin a surge for a European spot in the Premier League table, there is little else left to fight for.
Pep Guardiola’s Man City are the biggest team left in the competition, and even they have endured a terrible season across all competitions, meaning the Eagles have a great chance to lift silverware.
Fulham (0) | Crystal Palace (3) |
71% possession | 29% possession |
16 shots | 8 shots |
1.24 xG | 1.46 xG |
2 big chances missed | 1 big chance missed |
12 corners | 2 corners |
Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Adam Wharton, Marc Guehi and Dean Henderson are all cornerstones of the current squad, one that has a real chance of achieving something this season.
Supporters will be desperate for the manager to put absolutely everything into lifting the trophy, rather than putting any energy into the Premier League, or at least just enough to secure safety in the division.
With the Eagles now unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions, there is a lot of excitement building amongst the fanbase, and it is really no surprise after the FA Cup win.
