'You know what': Ian Wright fuming at Roy Keane after hearing what he's now said about two Arsenal players

Ian Wright and Roy Keane might be good friends these days but the former Arsenal man is not happy with his pal for some comments on Arsenal this weekend.

Wright looked on as his Arsenal side threw away the lead in the final minute of injury time to come away with a point from The Etihad.

Arsenal had looked good for the win but John Stones bundled home to ensure things ended level.

Of course, Wright would have loved nothing more than for his beloved Gunners to get the win and on the whole, they were impressive.

However, Wright couldn’t hide his annoyance either after hearing Roy Keane on punditry call out Arsenal duo William Saliba and Gabriel for conceding two goals.

Why Ian Wright is not happy with Roy Keane after latest comments

Speaking on the latest episode of The Kelly and Wrighty Show, Wright admitted to being a touch annoyed by his old friend Keane’s comments about Saliba and Gabriel.

"You know what as well, when we talk about Roy because Roy will say something like that and it will vex me because it has,” Wright fumed.

“When you look at how that first Man City goal came about, you know what Haaland wants to do, he wants to run in, the mistakes made before that is totally out of Gabriel and Saliba's hands where they are and where they have got to go. Our defender went in and got beaten completely.

“You have got Saliba who's trying to cover Gundogan who's going to try and run behind, so he doesn't know whether to go that way or come this way, and then you have got Savinho who is able to put a ball through to Haaland.

“You see, like, Calafiori commits himself now. You see Saliba goes a bit backwards because he thinks Gundogan is coming. Erling Haaland will do that to anyone. To blame the two defenders who are thinking, you see, you have got Gabriel feeling, is that going to go down the line, I can't, so what happens is that Erling Haaland's on the move because Savinho has got space.

“You can't blame the two centre-halves for that. You can't blame them. And the last goal? Down to 10 men, and you know, the pressure's on. It's really harsh to blame them two because in any other scenario in the game, they dealt with it properly."

What Roy Keane said about Saliba and Gabriel

It wasn’t even that bad from Keane and part of you thinks he might have said it knowing he’d get a rise out of Wrighty and a few others.

At the time, Keane responded to praise from Micah Richards by saying “They conceded two goals. They can’t have defended that well,” on Sky Sports.

Richards, at the time, went back at Keane and told him he was wrong about the Arsenal pair and as expected here, Wright is also not happy.

Not that Keane will care too much and over the week, we’re sure we’ll hear from Keane and Wright on this on a podcast somewhere!
