There's a claim in the Swedish media that AIK are showing serious interest in Hull City midfielder Xavier Simons.
The Swedish giants are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new Allsvenskan season.
Sportbladet have reported on AIK's pursuit of the Hull City player, and they say first contact has been made to sign the 21-year-old.
According to the Swedish media outlet, AIK are looking to sign a central midfielder in this transfer window as they want to replace Lamine Fanne Dabo, who has been sold to Luton Town.
Transfer talks are said to be ongoing between the two clubs and in the next few days it will be a clearer whether an agreement can be found. There is no indication if AIK are looking for a loan or a permanent deal for Simons.
Simons has made 26 appearances for Hull City this season, scoring two goals. The youngster is contracted to the Championship side until June 2026 and spent last season on loan with Fleetwood Town.
