With their Champions League chances seemingly diminishing by the week, Juventus' front office made about as big of a move as they still could this past weekend, parting ways with under-fire manager Thiago Motta and naming Igor Tudor as his short-term replacement.

The first weekend of the March international break brought us news. Some major, major news.

Thiago Motta, on the back of blowout losses to Atalanta and Fiorentina before said break, is no longer Juventus' manager, capping a 24-hour period in which rumors definitely intensified about the Brazilian-born manager's future in Turin. In his place, an old friend, Igor Tudor, has taken over in a caretaker role for the rest of the 2024-25 season, with a reported option set for next season.

But the goal is this: get Juventus into a place in which they can qualify for the Champions League and just bring some short-term stability that was starting to truly lack under Motta.

We take a look at what went wrong for Motta during his 10 months in charge at Juventus and how his somewhat sudden dismissal just a week after he got another vote of confidence from the man that hired him came about. Oh, and just what's next for Juventus during a time in which qualifying for the Champions League has never been so important no matter who the manager ends up being next season.
