Barcelona eye former Atletico Madrid star as midfield transfer option

Barcelona could make a bold summer move to bring Thomas Partey back to La Liga from Arsenal.
The Ghanaian international is heading into the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium with no renewal on the horizon for the former Atletico Madrid midfielder.
Partey has forced his way back into the Gunners starting XI in recent weeks as they look to battle for the Premier League title.
However, he is not expected to be part of Mikel Arteta's long term plans at Arsenal, and Barcelona are monitoring the situation.

As per transfer expert Adrian Sanchez, via Caught Offside, Barcelona want an experienced midfielder to bolster their squad, but for a reduced price.
Barcelona's transfer budget has been cut, with sales planned before new faces come in, and Partey offers 11 top flight seasons for around €20m.
Arsenal will not open any potential talks until the end of the season with Partey set to start their remaining games.
