Navarrese sources deny reports of Athletic Club agreeing €10m deal to sign Osasuna starlet

On Friday, it was reported by El Chiringuito that Athletic Club had agreed a deal to sign Osasuna midfielder Aimar Oroz, who's currently with Spain at the Olympic Games in Paris. The operation would be worth €10m, with 90% of that being paid upfront.

Aimar, 22, is one of the finest young midfielders in La Liga, and he's been on Athletic's radar for a while. He would be a fantastic addition to Ernesto Valverde's squad, although it does appear that he would have to wait to make the move to Bilbao. That's because Noticias de Navarra (via MD) have confirmed that a bid has not been accepted by Osasuna, certainly not for €10m.

Osasuna have no plans to sell Aimar, who'll be one of the key players for new manager Vicente Moreno. The only way that Athletic Club get their man is if they activate his release clause, which stands at €28m.
