Aston Villa are looking at sending Sil Swinkels on loan to a Championship or League One club in January, according to The Athletic.
Aston Villa might be focused on matters in the Premier League but come January, they’ll have transfer business to deal with.
And, a big part of that could see them dealing with EFL clubs. They’ve got young prospects and fringe players out on loan in the Football League while they haven’t been afraid to dip into the leagues for new recruits either, signing Morgan Rogers from Middlesbrough last winter.
Now, it seems one player they could be looking to send to the EFL is defender Sil Swinkels.
A fresh report from The Athletic has revealed that Aston Villa are keen to get some senior experience into the young Belgian, who made his maiden first-team start in a Carabao Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers earlier this season.
Villa are planning a loan move to the Championship or League One for the 20-year-old.
He had interest from third-tier side Peterborough United in the January transfer window, but it is said that they are unlikely to sign a young defender this winter, pointing towards them not reviving their interest.
