Bolton Wanderers striker Victor Adeboyejo is wanted by some unnamed Turkish clubs this summer, according to reporter Pete O’Rourke on X.

Bolton Wanderers could face a battle to keep hold of the forward over the next couple of months. They are preparing for another year in League One after they missed out on promotion to the Championship last season after losing in the play-off final to Oxford United at Wembley.

Adeboyejo, 26, remains under contract with the North West outfit until June 2026 meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him just yet. Football Insider claimed in January that Bundesliga.2 side Hannover 96 were interested in him but nothing materialised regarding that in the end.

In this latest update regarding his situation by journalist O’Rourke on X, he is on the radar of clubs in Turkey now with the window open for business. The identity of the teams eyeing him are yet to be known at this stage.

Bolton Wanderers signed Adeboyejo back in January 2023 from Burton Albion to bolster their attacking department.

He has since made 62 appearances in all competitions and has chipped in with 13 goals, 10 of which came in the last campaign.

Prior to his move to the Trotters, he started his senior career at Leyton Orient after spells in the academies at Arsenal, AFC Wimbledon and Charlton Athletic.

The forward then joined Barnsley in 2017 and spent five years with the Tykes, scoring nine goals in 93 matches.

He was loaned out to Bristol Rovers and Cambridge United during his time in South Yorkshire before Burton Albion came calling.

Adeboyejo fired 13 goals in 34 games for the Brewers to land his Bolton Wanderers transfer.

What next for Bolton Wanderers man?

The Trotters would have a decision to make if a bid came in for him from Turkey in the near future.

He is a useful player to have in the squad and can score goals at their level.

Offloading him would free up funds in their ranks though and would boost their finances.
