Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has said Nelson Khumbeni is attracting interest this winter.

Bolton Wanderers loaned out the midfielder to Accrington Stanley in League Two in the summer. He is due to spend the whole season with the Lancashire outfit.

Khumbeni, 22, has caught the eye playing for John Doolan’s side and has made 23 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with a single goal. They are currently sat in 19th place in the table and are five points above the drop zone.

In this latest update regarding his situation, Evatt has said, as per a report by The Bolton News: “There is interest in Nelson – some permanent and some loan. Again, we’ll have conversations behind the scenes over the next week and make the best decision for us and him.”

The Trotters have until the end of the January transfer window to do any incoming or outgoing bits of business.
