Bristol Rovers plan to keep goalkeeper Jed Ward out on loan at Forest Green Rovers for as long as possible, as detailed in a report by BristolLive.

Bristol Rovers let the stopper join the National League side in late July to get some more experience under his belt. He has made a solid start to life in Gloucestershire and has made 11 league appearances already this season.

Ward, 21, is getting plenty of game time at The New Lawn and will be benefitting from getting regular football in the fifth tier. Forest Green Rovers are sat in 3rd position at the moment behind Barnet and York City under the guidance of former Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill.

In this latest update regarding his situation, BristolLive claim the Gas have no plans to bring him back to the Memorial Ground anytime soon, despite their lack of depth in his position, and are happy with his progress.
