Charlton Athletic, Stockport County and Tranmere Rovers want relegated striker

Charlton Athletic, Stockport County and Tranmere Rovers are keen on Forest Green Rovers striker Amadou Bakayoko, according to a report by Football Sierra Leone.

The Football League trio are all interested in signing the attacker this summer. He spent last season on loan at Dundee in the Scottish Premiership and scored six goals in 39 games in all competitions.

Bakayoko, 28, remains under contract at Forest Green Rovers for next term. However, his future with the Gloucestershire outfit is up in the air following their relegation to the National League along with Sutton United.

In this latest update regarding his situation by Football Sierra Leone, League One pair Charlton Athletic and Stockport County are ‘set’ to make an offer for him, along with Tranmere Rovers and Salford City in League Two.

It seems unlikely that he will stay at the New Lawn in non-league and it appears he isn’t short of potential suitors.
