Derby County and Hull City are among the sides eyeing Doncaster Rovers defender Joseph Olowu, according to Football League World.
Derby County and Hull City are currently focused on their fight for survival. However, both DCFC and HCAFC will also have eyes on future recruits.
It would be smart for the Championship duo to line up targets for both a second-tier stay and an unwanted drop to League One. Shrewd deals will be targeted where possible too, allowing bigger fees to be spent on other additions.
Now, it is claimed both are eyeing Doncaster Rovers’ out of contract defender Joseph Olowu.
According to a report from Football League World, both Derby County and Hull City are considering a free transfer move for Olowu ahead of the summer. The centre-back, who is also on the radar at Reading, sees his current deal expire at the end of this season.
There will surely be a desire to keep Olowu at the Keepmoat Stadium but his contract situation means Rovers are prone to losing the star defender for nothing.
Time will tell whether DCFC, HCAFC or the Royals firm up their interest, but it seems Olowu is someone being monitored with a view to a summer swoop.
