Swansea City have appointed Richard Stearman as part of caretaker boss Alan Sheehan’s coaching staff, it has been confirmed.
Swansea City are in a fairly uncertain position but they’re hoping for a brighter future.
It feels as though the Swans are in limbo somewhat, with more changes being made off the pitch but only a caretaker boss in charge of on-pitch matters.
Luke Williams’ sacking saw Alan Sheehan named as caretaker boss and it has now been confirmed that he will be holding that role until the end of the campaign. Only time will tell if he takes the reins on a permanent basis or if someone else will land the job in the long run.
For now though, Sheehan remains in charge of Swansea City, and he has seen his coaching staff bolstered.
Taking up his first EFL role since retiring, former Derby County, Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United centre-back Richard Stearman has assumed a role in the first-team coaching ranks. He, along with former Huddersfield Town boss Mark Fotheringham, joins the backroom team.
Sheehan retains the assistance of Kris O’Leary and Martyn Margetson and will be hoping to lead the Swans to a strong end to the season.
