'Hopefully' – Birmingham City man eyeing future transfer

Birmingham City loan man Taylor Gardner-Hickman has said that the Blues will ‘hopefully’ sign him permanently in the future.
Birmingham City swooped to land the Telford-born man in the summer following their relegation from the Championship on loan from Bristol City.
Gardner-Hickman, 22, has made 16 appearances for the Blues in all competitions so far this season, 11 of which have come in League One. They are currently sat in 3rd place in the table behind Wycombe Wanderers and Wrexham.
He has said, as per a report by BirminghamLive: “I’m a Blues player for now and hopefully I show enough on the pitch and around the training ground to make them want to keep me on! We’ll see what happens.
“Coming down from Bristol and being back home around family has made it easier for me to settle in. I settled in straight away and the boys have been absolutely class with me.”
Birmingham City loan man eyes move
Birmingham City signed Gardner-Hickman to add more competition and depth to their ranks.
He can play in a few different positions such as right-back or in midfield if needed which makes him a useful player to have in the squad.
The Blues have an option to purchase him at the end of the campaign should they wish to.
Gardner-Hickman rose up through the academy at West Brom and was a regular for the Baggies at various different youth levels.
He went on to play 60 matches during his time at The Hawthorns and chipped in with two goals as a youngster.
The ex-England youth international was shipped out on loan to Bristol City before joining the Robins full-time.
Gardner-Hickman has since played 40 games for his parent club to date but was given the green light to head out the exit door temporarily in the last window to get some more regular game time.
What now?
Birmingham City will have a decision to make on what to do with the player come the end of this term.
It may well depend on what division they find themselves in.
The Blues have been in decent form over recent weeks and won 2-1 away at Barnsley last time out in the league.
They then beat Exeter City 2-1 on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy and are back in action this weekend with a home clash against Bristol Rovers as they look to keep their momentum going.
