Leeds United are set to sell Sonny Perkins to Leyton Orient for a small fee but a ‘sizeable’ sell-on clause is in place, as per The Athletic.
Leeds United have had a quiet transfer window to date. There’s a chance of business at LUFC, but incomings will be limited if there are any, and departures are unlikely to be for any key players.
There are some on the fringes who could benefit from moves though. Joe Gelhardt has joined Hull City until the end of the season, while top youngster has been loaned to Doncaster Rovers.
Another prospect currently on loan away from Elland Road is versatile forward Sonny Perkins, but it now looks as though he’ll be staying away from the Whites for good.
According to The Athletic, Leeds United have agreed to sell Perkins to loan club Leyton Orient.
The deal has been struck for a small transfer fee, remaining undisclosed at this moment in time. However, a ‘sizeable’ sell-on clause has been agreed upon too, ensuring the club gain from any deal Orient strike to sell Perkins.
His deal with LUFC was set to expire at the end of the season but an agreement now means the Whites get something for the former West Ham talent while allowing him to kick on and avoid the uncertainty of free agency in the summer.
